23 when He was reviled,
He did not revile in return;
when He was suffering,
He did not threaten
but entrusted Himself to the One who judges(A) justly.
24 He Himself bore our sins(B)
in His body(C) on the tree,(D)
so that, having died to sins,(E)
we might live for righteousness;(F)
you have been healed by His wounds.(G)[a]
25 For you were like sheep going astray,(H)[b]
but you have now returned
to the Shepherd(I) and Guardian[c] of your souls.
